Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Construction to support a large, long‑term corporate account. This role oversees complex construction projects including MEP‑intensive work and active‑site renovations within a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment. The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure successful delivery across scope, schedule, budget, and compliance requirements.

Compensation: $101,000–$150,000 base salary + AIP (Annual Incentive Plan)

Please Note: This position is now limited to candidates located in Richmond, CA. The role is not being expanded into Southern California, and only applicants within the Richmond commuting area will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, project recovery planning, and proposal development.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety programs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards across active job sites.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for a team of project managers delivering multiple concurrent projects.
  • Oversee all phases of construction, including planning, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and resource allocation.
  • Manage client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships through clear communication, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure project controls, documentation, engineering coordination, and commissioning activities meet organizational standards.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Experience delivering projects with significant MEP scope and safety‑critical requirements.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading construction teams or project managers.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, subcontractors, and diverse project stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of functional experience in project controls, scheduling, estimating, or construction operations.
  • Strong background in project controls, forecasting, scheduling, documentation, and contract compliance.
  • Proven experience managing complex construction projects, including MEP systems and active‑site renovations.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, Visio, and scheduling/estimating software; experience with project management and financial systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification.
  • OSHA‑30 or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience in energy, industrial, or large‑scale facilities environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Procore, BIM360, or similar platforms.
