ENTEC Services, Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC technicians for the Peoria, Springfield and surrounding areas. Qualified steamfitters/pipefitters are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction by delivering quality service in a safe and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and controls
- Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer and company standards
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
- Test system performance and make recommendations for repairs or improvements
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records and communicate findings to customers and management
- Collaborate with Service Dispatch, Project Managers, and other team members to ensure quality and efficiency
- Adhere to all safety standards, company policies, and local codes
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times
Job Requirements:
- Member of a local steamfitters/pipefitters union, or willingness to become a member
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, as well as to perform work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularly
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity, and grasp and manipulate small objects
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds or dangerous situations
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
- Ability to perform work while on a ladder
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, as required
Anticipated Salary Range and Employee Benefits:
- Wage Scale (currently $46.60 in Peoria)
