ROLE
We are seeking a qualified WORKSHOP WORKING FOREMAN to join our Potchefstroom branch. The role involves:

• Quotations on Vehicles (Most important to be thorough)
• Fault finding
• Do repairs if needed
• Assist with sourcing of parts
• Manage workshop staff performance
• Assist with diagnosing where necessary
• Liaise with the storeroom & Project manager for availability parts
• Handle all queries (parts, orders, invoices, etc)
• General Admin – ISO health and safety Ensure Health and Safety procedure and policies are adhered to
• Assists advise on technical issues regarding vehicles
• Arrange for staff planning as per daily function requirements
• Manage and coordinate warranties process
• Achieve workshop target
• Very good communication skills
• Provide customer service Very good customer relation skills
• Implement quality initiatives
• Monitor workshop condition including housekeeping, cleanliness and safety condition
• Staff PPE management
• Staff training and assisting technician to develop their skills
• Handle minor disciplinary matters assistant technicians in developing their skills
• Monitor condition of equipment and prepare for maintenance
  • Ensures that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner
  • Provides technical support for technicians when necessary

       • Check’s progress of each repair order throughout the day

Requirements

• NQF 4 / N1–N3 with 3–5 years’ mechanic experience with at least 2 of the 5years managing a Workshop and staff
• Trade Test qualification (Diesel Mechanic – Red Seal)
• Experience with Forklifts, Telehandlers, Yellow Machines, Cranes, Trucks, Trailers, Tractors, TMM Machines, and Engine Rebuild Experience will be advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics and auto-electrical systems will be advantageous
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans (read, write, speak )Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to work afterhours. Able to work under pressure
