Traveling Construction Foreman - Commercial Construction and Concrete - Base Salary to 100k/year - King of Prussia, PA
Our client is a growing commercial construction contractor specializing in large-scale aquatic and recreational facility projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. They are seeking a Traveling Construction Foreman to oversee field operations and participate in the hands-on construction of commercial projects ranging from 1 million to 7 million dollars in value.
This is a field-based leadership position responsible for coordinating crews, managing subcontractors, overseeing sitework and concrete activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. The Traveling Construction Foreman will spend the majority of their time on active construction sites and must be comfortable performing hands-on construction work as project needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day construction activities on commercial construction projects valued between 1 million and 7 million dollars
Lead and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and construction activities to maintain project schedules and quality standards
Perform and oversee construction layout activities, excavation operations, backfill, grading, and general sitework
Coordinate field operations with project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors
Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure work is completed according to project requirements
Oversee structural concrete operations including formwork, reinforcing steel installation, concrete placement, and finishing activities
Manage PVC Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 plumbing installations and related underground utility work
Document daily construction activities, progress updates, safety observations, and project reports using company-provided construction management software and iPad technology
Participate in hands-on construction activities as required, with direct labor responsibilities varying by project scope, crew size, and subcontractor involvement
Monitor jobsite safety, quality control, and productivity throughout all phases of construction
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience as a Construction Foreman, Superintendent, General Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Concrete Foreman, Civil Foreman, Sitework Foreman, or similar field leadership role
Strong knowledge of construction layout, excavation, grading, backfill operations, and site development activities
Experience overseeing structural concrete construction including formwork, rebar installation, concrete placement, and concrete finishing
Experience with PVC Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 plumbing installations
Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors on commercial construction, heavy civil, sitework, concrete, utility, or infrastructure projects
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
Ability to travel throughout the project region and work on remote project sites as needed
Experience using tablets, construction software, and digital project documentation systems
Compensation:
Base salary in the 75k - 100k/year range
