Primary Purpose

 

Organize schedules and oversee work orders on a daily basis to ensure proper indoor air quality in all district facilities. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

 

                Education/Certification/Licensure

                High school diploma or GED

                Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility

                requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

                Special Knowledge/Skills

                Effective communication and interpersonal skills

                Ability to supervise personnel

                In-depth knowledge of all types of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration    equipment

                Knowledge of pneumatic controls

                Knowledge of sequence of operation for hot and chill water systems and controls

                Knowledge of low-pressure boilers and pumps

                Ability to do some sheet metal work

                Ability to read extensive wiring diagrams

                Experience

                Requirement determined by supervisor

                 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

 

  1. Maintain a controlled environment to ensure the comfort of students and staff.
  2. Maintain a preventive maintenance program.
  3. Ensure work orders are handled on a daily basis.
  4. Evaluate HVAC staff members.
  5. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  6. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
  7. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  8. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  9. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  10. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
  11. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  12. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  13. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  14. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  15. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  16. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  18. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Equipment Used

Including but not limited to hand tools, small power tools, air conditioning gauges, volt, ohm, amp meter, ladders, and all other related air conditioning equipment and tools

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting of HVAC equipment weighing up to 80 pounds; inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, high voltage electricity, and hazardous materials; slippery and/or    uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders
