Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Our Louisville client is seeking a 1st shift Service Technician.

Position Summary: As a service technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting and maintaining mechanical equipment, handling work order requests, and performing general maintenance tasks. Key qualifications include knowledge of maintenance, basic repair skills, and a valid driver's license.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Outline Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and Repair: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
• Maintenance Scheduling: Coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors if needed.

Education/Experience:

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience:

  • Must have previous experience repairing refuse equipment.
  • Refuse Mechanic: Previous experience (Required).
  • Maintenance: At least 1 year of experience (Preferred).
  • Electrical, mechanical, and welding experience (Preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the physical ability to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently.
• Good eyesight for detecting differences in textures and colors.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Schedule/Pay:

• Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm occasional Saturdays.
• $18-$35/hr based on experience.
