Forklift Driver

 Atlantic Forest Products, LLC is currently hiring full-time Forklift Drivers / Lumber Yard Associates to join our team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role where you’ll work outdoors in all weather conditions while supporting daily operations in our lumber yard.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who are comfortable with physical labor and thrive in a team environment.  This position will require you to work in the elements year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload lumber and other building materials.
• Use chainsaws, tape measures, and other hand tools to prepare and cut products to order.
• Pull and stage lumber for customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain situational awareness and follow all safety procedures while working around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Assist with general yard operations, including organizing inventory and keeping work areas clean and safe.
   

Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 40 lbs or more repetitively throughout the day.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow).
• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills to safely address challenges on the job.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with management.
• 2 years of related work experience required.
• Machine operation experience (chainsaws, other yard/industrial equipment) is a strong plus but not required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
