Overview of role:
Facility Maintenance Technician II performs maintenance tasks and troubleshoots for building systems and equipment. This role involves taking a more proactive approach to facility maintenance, including diagnosing complex issues, making repairs, and performing routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. The technician may also mentor junior staff and assist in the planning and executing of facility improvement projects.

Key Deliverables:
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Oversee routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure facility systems function correctly.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Manage and monitor tools, equipment, and supplies inventory to ensure availability for maintenance needs.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality work standards.
- Lead or assist in the implementation of facility improvement or upgrading projects.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and facility standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
