ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
The Facilities Maintenance & HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the physical plant, the manufacturing equipment in the facility and the service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for regular preventative maintenance as well as responding to immediate needs throughout the plant and remote store locations. This position shall also be available to the shipping and receiving department, especially during peak holiday periods.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
At least 3 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician or facilities maintenance technician with a focus on HVAC systems. Knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance techniques. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and guidelines related to HVAC systems. Read, write and verbally communicate in English; mathematical accuracy; organizational skills; Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic and sub- atomic structures and processes valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record; work well within a team environment; good relational skills with coworkers and public
Tools, Equipment or Machinery Used:
forklift certification (can obtain on the job), vehicles, pallet jacks, scales, taping machines, postal meter, tape guns, tools. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
be able to stand and move on cement floors for prolonged periods of time; go in and out of freezer units with designated protection; continuously lift over 40 pounds, bend, kneel, turn, lift arms above shoulder height; push approximately 100 lbs; see, grasp tools, handle or feel objects Near vision- the ability to see details at close range; finger dexterity- the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble very small objects.
