We currently have an exciting opportunity for a duel role at one of our beautiful associations in Upper Marlboro Maryland.
Primary Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
- Design and implement seasonal and cultural events.
- Manage all logistics: vendors, contracts, permits, decorations, volunteers, and day-of coordination.
- Create promotional materials and handle all pre/post event communications and evaluations.
- Attend events and conduct pre and post inspections and obtain feedback.
Community Center Rentals
- Handle inquiries, agreements, scheduling, and payments.
- Post event inspections.
- Ensure policy compliance and positive rental experience.
Community Engagement & Communication
- Work with staff to maintain up-to-date announcements, community calendars, and event promotions.
- Support social media content and e-newsletter efforts.
- Promote volunteer opportunities and community participation.
- Update Beechtreemd.org for events and other notifications pertaining to facilities or events.
Facilities Management
- Conduct regular inspections of the community center, pool, gyms, guard house, playgrounds, and other common area and facilities.
- Identify maintenance needs and safety concerns; prepare reports and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Solicit and review proposals/quotes from vendors and contractors; make recommendations to management and the Board.
- Oversee repair, maintenance, and improvement projects from start to completion, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers; monitor contracts for compliance with terms and service standards.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, warranties, and service agreements.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring facility-related budgets.
- Ensure all facilities comply with applicable codes, safety regulations, and association policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents regarding facility-related concerns and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
- Support community events and activities by ensuring facilities are prepared and operational.
Applicants Must:
- Maintain licensing in some states
- Have previous experience in the above area
- Be professional, organized and self-motivated
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hold a valid license to operate a motor vehicle with a clean driving record
- Have a proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
