Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Electrician to join our team in Poughkeepsie, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and fixtures
Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and other electrical components
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC)
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Communicate effectively with customers and team members
Qualifications:
Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation
Minimum 3 years of electrical experience preferred (commercial)
Must have own basic tools
Knowledge of NEC and local codes
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and safely
