Electrician

The Role

As a residential electrical technician, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair electrical systems in homes. This role is crucial in leading our customers to make informed and confident decisions about their electrical needs. Responsibilities

• Efficiently complete all general electrical service calls in residential settings.
• Build strong relationships with customers to guide them toward the right products and services for their needs.
• Assist customers in understanding their financing options and the benefits of maintenance plans.
• Aim to exceed goals by being mindful of your service criteria and holding yourself to the highest standard.
• Present yourself as professional and knowledgeable to earn trust, leading to new referrals and repeat business.
• Collaborate closely with customer service and dispatch teams to contribute to the business's overall success.
• Keep your work area and truck clean and organized, ensuring you have a well-inventoried set of tools and supplies.
• Actively participate in all company training sessions, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Take on a mentorship role by training and guiding apprentices, ensuring they learn to complete repairs and installations swiftly and accurately.
• Ensure all paperwork and digital records, such as invoices, time cards, feedback, and option sheets, are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

Competencies for Success

• A license in electrical work is not required, however, a thorough knowledge of local electrical codes, with the ability to apply this knowledge practically, is highly desirable.
• A solid track record in electrical repair techniques, including familiarity with electrical hardware, junction boxes, circuit breaker units, tracing lines, and interpreting wiring diagrams.
• A commitment to ongoing education and training in the electrical field.
• A clean and safe driving record, reflecting your responsibility and respect for company vehicles.
