Concrete Laborer

Reybold is a growing Construction and Property Management Company seeking a Concrete Laborer for our Construction Site Operations Department. A Concrete Laborer is Responsible for performing a combination of several construction/concrete job duties as assigned by foreman including but not limited to Curb work, Flat work, and construction operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the creation of curb, flat and specialty concrete work
• Digging Trenches
• Checking grades using ruler, level, or stringline
• Use of shovels, rakes, and spread dirt, stone, blacktop, concrete and other materials
•  Use of powered equipment may be required
• Sweeping debris from building sites
• Cleaning and organizing materials in storage trailers
• Cleaning and maintaining heavy and light equipment
• Using small mechanical construction equipment
• Using small gas-powered hand tools such as cut- off saws, pumps and post hole drillers

Additional Responsibilities

• Full understanding of the needs for and always demonstrates safe practices
• Occasional overtime is required to answer emergency calls and to handle increased workload during peak seasons

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Ability to operate small mechanical construction equipment and gas-powered hand tools
• Valid Drivers License

Physical Demands

• Physically demanding and challenging
• Ability to walk, bend, move, climb, and lift
• Ability to exert force to move up to 75lbs if necessary
• Specific vision requirements including near and distance vision
• Ability to use movements to operate small mechanical construction equipment and gas powered hand tools

Work Environment

• All work is performed outside exposed to outdoor weather conditions including inclement weather.
• Noise Level is very loud
• More then two-thirds of the time requires work near moving mechanical parts.
