Description

  

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter II to join our team for our Melbourne Prefabrication shop location. The Pipefitter II will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment used in steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial production systems.

This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on active construction sites.

Requirements

  Job Requirements (List is not inclusive)

· Accurately measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe to required specifications.

· Install and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and installation procedures.

· Plan and execute pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to project specifications.

· Select appropriate pipe sizes, materials, supports, and hangers based on design requirements.

· Perform hydrostatic testing and inspect installed systems using pressure gauges and other testing methods.

· Install valves, fittings, and other components in accordance with design and code requirements.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

· Collaborate with supervisors, foremen, and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

· Proven experience as a Pipefitter in commercial or industrial construction environments.

· Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

· Proficiency in welding, brazing, soldering, and pipe joining techniques.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

· High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training preferred.

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 upon hire.

•Employment subject to E-Verify confirmation.

•Must be able to travel to multiple construction sites within the U.S. and present acceptable identification for security or travel purposes.

•Reliable transportation and ability to meet job-site access requirements.

Education & Experience

· Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in pipefitting preferred.

· Experience with commercial HVAC, mechanical, or industrial piping systems preferred.

Physical Requirements 

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.

· Regularly required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to work in outdoor conditions and elevated environments.

· Use of hands to handle tools, reach, and operate equipment.

· Ability to hear, speak, and communicate clearly on active jobsites.
