HVAC Technician, Lubbock

In addition to meeting the requirements of the General Maintenance Mechanic, this position is required to perform repairs and maintenance functions and evaluate the effectiveness of all HVAC equipment, controls and related systems including but not limited to air handlers, package heat/cool units, heat pumps, refrigerators, ice machines and the HVAC pneumatic control system in a safe and efficient manner.  The position requires the individual to perform repair and maintenance function in patient rooms, offices, other assigned areas of the hospital as well as float to support off site Hospital owned properties.

Please note the following important details regarding this position: 

• This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location. 
• Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location: 

  • Texas: Lubbock 

•  Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled 

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements. 

   

Required Qualifications: 

• Coursework/Training: One to two years of formal training in mechanical or construction trades
• Upon Hire: National EPA Section 608 Certification - State County City Trade License Authority
• 2 or more years of HVAC operations and associated systems and equipment in an industrial institutional environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital experience

• HVAC Technician
• Servicing and Repairs for Ice Machines and Refrigeration Units
• Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services for Chillers and Boilers
• Maintenance and Repair Services for Rooftop Units
• Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting for Mini Split HVAC Systems
