HVAC Tech 3

JOB SUMMARY

Without supervision and ability to work as lead, the HVAC Technician III is responsible for performing repair, maintenance, adjustment and replacement of pneumatic, mechanical and/or direct digital temperature control systems and equipment. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. and analyze HVAC problems.

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), Trade School Certificate with focus on mechanical systems or equivalent on the job training.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Must have 5 years’ work experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems in a Healthcare Plant Operations related setting.
• Graduate from an accredited Technical School of HVAC preferred.
• General HVAC Journeyman Maintenance experience.
• Mechanical and electrical background.
• Ability to discern and analyze HVAC problems.
