Description

We’re looking for someone who likes active and hands-on work to join us as a Granite Shop Associate at Nonn’s. This position reports to the Shop Manager and works at our countertop fabrication facility in Springfield Corners (near the intersection of Highways 12 and 19 north of Middleton). In this role, you’ll learn new skills and handle a variety of duties to help us create residential and commercial countertops from granite and quartz slabs. The Granite Shop Associate works a full-time, first-shift schedule, Monday to Friday. Training provided.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


· Review daily packing sheets and printed job packets to prepare materials for upcoming installations.

· Locate and stage the correct granite pieces and materials for each job.

· Load granite pieces onto frames/racks and later onto installer trucks.

· Verify all required items are present and accurately checked off before loading.

· Ensure installation crews have everything needed for the job prior to departure.

· Maintain organized staging areas to support efficient daily operations.

· Assist with general warehouse and yard work as needed.

· Operate a forklift safely (certification a plus; company can provide certification).

· Follow all safety policies and procedures.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · 6+ months warehouse, manufacturing, or construction experience.

· Forklift experience preferred but not required.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.

· Ability to read/write basic English correspondence and perform simple alphabetizing.

· Ability to order numbers and perform simple addition and subtraction.
