Director, Technical Delivery & Architecture

HyerTek is seeking an experienced Director of Technical Delivery & Architecture to lead and oversee technical delivery across the company’s full project portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable delivery of client solutions while maintaining strong architectural standards and technical rigor across Microsoft, Salesforce, and cloud-based platforms.

The Director of Technical Delivery & Architecture will serve as a senior, hands-on technical leader, reporting jointly to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. This role partners closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, sales, and client stakeholders. It combines portfolio-level technical oversight, hands-on architecture and development, demo, and pre-sales asset creation. The individual acts as an executive technical representative in key technical and client-facing conversations.

The role requires deep experience delivering enterprise solutions using Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure), Salesforce-based solutions, and modern cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), along with strong knowledge of AI-based practices and implementation.

The ideal candidate brings deep engineering experience, strong architectural judgment, and a proven delivery mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, client-facing environments.

The Director of Technical Delivery & Architecture will own technical delivery and execution across the organization. Responsibilities include:

• Owning technical delivery health across all active client projects
• Defining and enforcing technical and architectural standards across engagements
• Reviewing system designs and providing hands-on support for complex or high-risk implementations
• Leading delivery of enterprise solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and cloud platforms
• Building and maintaining reusable demo environments, proofs-of-concept, and reference implementations
• Supporting pre-sales efforts through technically accurate demos and solution validation
• Acting as a senior technical representative in client-facing discussions
• Identifying delivery risks and making informed technical tradeoff decisions
• Applying AI-based practices and integrating AI capabilities into client solutions where appropriate
• Collaborating with engineering leadership to improve delivery processes and scalability
• Standardizing tooling, environments, and delivery practices
• Mentoring senior engineers and technical leads
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design artifacts
• Participating in Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives
   

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience owning technical delivery across multiple concurrent projects
• Strong background in systems architecture, integrations, and enterprise platforms
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, and Salesforce-based solutions
• Experience designing and delivering solutions on cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
• Strong knowledge of AI-based practices, including solution design and implementation
• Hands-on development experience in production systems
• Experience building demos, proof-of-concepts, or reference architectures
• Strong technical judgment and ability to operate under ambiguity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, professional services, or systems integration environments
• Experience delivering enterprise solutions in regulated or security-conscious environments
• Experience mentoring senior technical staff
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern delivery pipelines
• Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions using cloud-native or platform-provided services
   

Work Authorization & Location Requirements

This position is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The role is primarily remote; however, the selected candidate must be able to work onsite at HyerTek headquarters 2–4 days per month. Occasional travel and additional onsite presence may be required based on client and business needs.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
