The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and leading a concrete crew of approximately 6–10 team members. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in concrete flatwork and curb and gutter installation, and the ability to effectively communicate with crew members, management, and project stakeholders.
Supervise and manage a concrete crew of up to 10 employees
Plan and coordinate daily work activities and crew assignments
Perform and oversee concrete flatwork, curb and gutter installation, and finishing
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
Set forms, establish grades, and ensure proper pitch and drainage
Communicate clearly with project managers, subcontractors, and team members
Operate equipment such as skid steers and mini excavators as needed
Maintain job site safety and enforce company safety policies
Ensure quality control standards are consistently met
Travel to project locations as required
Minimum 2 years of concrete finishing experience required
Previous experience leading or overseeing crews preferred
Experience supervising crews of 6–10 employees strongly preferred
Experience in concrete flatwork and curb and gutter required
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
Ability and willingness to travel for projects as needed
Ability to work extended hours, including 8+ hours per day as project demands require
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required for job coordination, safety compliance, and documentation
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical labor in outdoor environments
This position involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and manual labor consistent with concrete construction work.
